I used QS 4X4 synthetic blend the last time I changed the oil. Never again, thaks anyway. The bike is running too hot since I went to 10/40 and a plus one plug. Here in Dixieland, it just gets too hot for the lighter weight oils. In fact, I am considering using the old HD/Brit bike trick of 70 weight summer/50 weight winter and see if that is any better, although the bike behaved beautifully on 30 weight Texaco oil. This is one case where I'd say err on the side of caution, and if you feel the need to upgrade the oil, try 20W50 Castrol GTX, never had a leak or other problem when I ran it, and Bruce Clarke was right on this, the bike shifted best with GTX in it.
